Default pleeease help.

er, Im still rather new to the whole car scene. and actually..I dont know much about tire sizes for rims. Uhm, Basically I purchased a set of 17'' motegi rims, and I need to figure out the new size tires and how much offset, can someone - either A, Show me what to do, or read up on to get a better understanding besides the "tire spec" sites which are just confusing in itself,(i`m stupid heh) or B, Just do it for me, either way Id appreciate the time that you'd help me out,

I have a 1997 hyundai tiburon base model(not sure if that even matters),

my .02

I have 97 tib base model and 17 inchers.

I have 205/40/17 tires. Go to tire shop and I would suggest 215/40/17 tires.

C'mon man, a little bit of looking around would have found you this thread.

http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=543

It's a sticky (meaning it doesn't move) that was right above your post. Click on this link, read it, and click on the other links provided. This is ALL you'll need to know about tire size and wheel offsets.

Anyway, welcome to the site. Take a look around, there is a ton of info on here.

welcome to the site! And as everyone else has said, please use the search function, it is your friend. The choices everyone gave above me are about right, 17's are on the hairy edge of what you can put on a tib due to our small wheel wells.
