NITTO vs KUMHO
I'm thinking of getting new tires for my tiburon. Which one should I get the NITTO NT 450 Extreme Performance or KUMHO Ecsta Supra 712? Which one has better girp, longevity, and is better in the snow. Any help would be welcome.

Not too sure about the Nittos, I've never had them before, but for the price, the Kuhmos are nice, I have them on my car and they are great!
I also heard that Falken Azenis are really great too, for the price, they are only a few bucks more than the Kuhmos.
As far as snow, the Kuhmos are a SUMMER TIRE! Do not drive with them in the snow, we have had a few cm's of snow here the last couple of days, and I've had to drive in the morning a few times, (snow usually dissappears in the afternoon, as it's not cold enough to stick around yet) and they are fine, but in DEEP snow,... I don't know. I already have winter tires, I'm just waiting for the snow to actually stick around before I switch them over. I hope that won't be for a while yet though smile.gif

From my experiences, buying Nittos were the worst investment I put on my car EVAR. They were extremely noisy and little traction in the rain. I took those tires off 5 days after I bought it, thats how bad it was. I suggest getting Kumho 712's/Yoko Parada Spec 2/Bridgestone Potenza RE730/Falken Azenis. RE730 and Azenis are so far my favorite of the pack(I used them all)

I would definately go with Spec 2s. Check with discount tire...sometimes they will hook u up with nice deals. I got my spec 2s for a $100 a tire(205/40/17), everyone says it was an insane deal. I also have REALLY nice traction in the rain. Ill definaly buy spec 2s again.

Go with the KUMHO 712's. I love them! No road noise and they look bad ass rolling around. They are actually a little wider than the stock tires b/c they supposedly protect your rims from minor scrapes and scratches. I love the gap in the middle of the tire, and the way the tread goes all the way out, to direct water outta the tires.
BTW, I can tell the difference b/c my tires are 275-40-ZR17's. Awesome price as well. If you lived in the DFW area, I would tell you which Discount Tire to goto. wink

I will say this: "I will never buy a Kumho instead of a Yokohama." No chance. I ran Kumho since I got the car in 98. They were good or so I thought..until I put yoko's on. The grip is unreal and they handle great. Just my .02

Thanks everyone for their oppinion. Now I guess I have to decide between Kumho and Yoko. I believe I will be leaning towards Kumho due the the lack of cash. Once again, thanks for the input!
