New rims
#11
Ok guys, bought the rims smile.gif
Dude was wrong, it's 195/40/17 inch rolleyes.gif
Fits fine, looks like I'm a pimp now. Will post pictures after I fully cleaned the suckers and then replaced my sucky 15" rims.
Only problem is that you can see my rusted brakes better now laugh.gif:

I got 205/40R17 and they are a little too skinny for my taste. They didn't carry 215/40R17.
dont' go higher than 40 series for sure.
What wrong with 205/40/17 on 17" rims? I find ride quality quite nice, it got a little worse on crappy roads with the stiffer springs.
Would 215/40/17 really make the ride that much better?

now, if you get a 17' rim, you surely want anything from a 205/40/17 (i don't reccomend it unless you want to ruin your rims and have a hard choppy ride quality) a 215/40/17 is our max. with a 215/45/17 you will have to hammer your fender in for the tires to fit and you will get the wrong mileage count/speed on your car. not to mention heaviness.
dont' go higher than 40 series for sure.

Got the bling bling laugh.gif:
17" Panther Chrome rims with Pirelli 195/40 (yeah yeah I know too small, tires were already on it)
Shame that the back of the rd2 is way to large, fatass. Rims should be wider eyeroll.gif

get some wheel spacers to even out the body! kspec.com has them for our cars.
when you update your tires next time go with 215's. the only reason i say so is when i got my rims, brand sparkling new i wanted the best for them. they were right out of the box scratch-free. then a few months of driving, i noticed the rims were being destroyed by gravel being kicked up and the 205's did little help.
now with the 215's the rims are protected. i regret not getting 215's from the start to rescue the rims before they got the way they are now =(
