I keep hearing about people's wheel bearings going out..

I'm wondering if that's because people are harder on their cars then michael jackson is on little boys, or if it's just a design flaw.

I'm pretty easy on my 01 tiburon, and i'm only at 36,000, but I'd like to know when everyone else's bearings went out.

Sounds like my right front just went at 64k miles, the others have never been replaced as far as I know. I drive my car pretty hard, I would say.

Mine is about to roll 60k and i drive round 110 miles every day but sat and sunday. I would say that i drive it kinda hard at times. Most times i treat her well. So far no problems at all!

I have replaced three... one twice in 10,000 miles due to a sticking brake that was dragging on that side. It also warped the rotor. The Driver's side is original at 108,000 miles and I JUST replaced a rear. So, I have two replacements. Passenger side front and driver's side rear.. the other two are original.

And while I do not do burn outs or drag racing, You are talking to a person who wears out rear tyres and brakes faster than the fronts with the way I enjoy my backroads.

I drive my car hard. I take off at every light, I take turns fast... I'm an aggressive driver.
I'm at 93,000 miles on my 00 and never had wheel bearing problems.

lol, new sig!!! laugh.gif btw, i had no idea tib were that tough, after falling off a cliff i would have expected alot more than a bearing, maybe even a muffler belt!

edit: about 67k and nothing yet, i think the front left might be starting to go though. i drive normal most of the time, occasionally i'll drive a little crasy. now how i used to drive....... tongue.gif
