Default Good all seasons or cheap winter tires for winter months?

Im gonna be taking off my summer rims and tires in the next week or two and putting the stockers back on. The tires on them are pretty bald so which would be the better way to go? Get some decent all year driving all seasons, or get some really cheap winter tires? The advantage of the all season is I could drive on them in the summer if I need to remove the summer rims. Im just concerned about how well all seasons will hold up on snow and ice. Anyone have any good suggestions? I probably only want to spend around $80 or less per tire if possible.
