Floor Brace????

It does just as much as a lower bar. They've been out for a few years now. I know alot of people that have them in their Civics and love them. I personally think it's 99.9% for looks on a street car. If our cars were RWD it would help.

Super Street did an article on the install and crap. It is the October 2001 issue page 117. They don't actually test it but they do say that they work.
Have you found one for the Tib?

IMHO they are pure rice. They are mounted so low, the floor itself prevents twisting/movement. If they wanted to mount it in a location to make an improvment, they would put it in the center of the car (vertically), right behind the 2 front seats. It would make your backseat all but worthless...but that would make a difference.

what happened to make you feel unsafe?
Looks like to me, that the thing would probably stiffen it up a little bit. The car would proably *feel* different anyway; what the skidpad or the track would tell you, well, you might wait for someone *else* to buy one first... wink.gif

I don't know about this product. I wouldn't recommend it but I have seen this theory employed in some IT cars (SCCA class). The rules only allow 8 mounting points for the cage and a "seat mount" that is tied into the cage. Some people use some roll cage tubing to make the seat mount. They seam to think that it dose some good.
I can't comment on how much the seat mount help but I can say that a roll cage will help stiffen a car a lot. If you ever jacked up a car with a roll cage you will instantly notice the difference.
P.S. one of my other cars is an ITA RX-3 (Mazda)
P.P.S. I like your sig Stocker.

Sorry, I guess I should have qualified my statement. On a bone stock suspension, you will not notice any difference. There are so many other weak point in the stock setup, you would have to be fairly deep into suspension mods before you could feel the minor difference that this bar would offer.
I agree with EN00, a decent REAL roll cage adds A LOT to structural rigidity (when done right). "Monkey bars" roll cages at little more than weight.
