CV Boot has a hole in it
Got under my car last night to do some stuff and noticed my CV boot has a small hole in it. mad.gif
Looked online and found this kit

Is that a good price for it or should I look elsewhere?

replacing a boot is a PITA. I've done it with extremely foul results. I ended up having to replace the entire axel. This is what I'd recommend to start with unless you have a shop.
You should look into a split boot and some silicone to seal it. I will never mess with a CV boot again.

Drive it until the joint starts clicking then replace the axle? If you feel like it, squirt some grease in the hole to prolong the life of the joint a little more. You can get 10,000s of miles more out of it before it fails, if you're lucky.

+1 for the split boot, never thought of the bike tire patch idea I woudl say extra rubber cement if you go that route. But the split boot works fine if the cv joint is still in good shape and you don't run through many corn fields.
