Default Curbed my rear passenger side rim

About 3-4 months ago I was backing into a parking spot and I accidently curbed my rear passenger side rim and tire. I didnt care really since they were the stockers and I was getting ready to buy new 17's. Last week I noticed that that tire has some irregular tire wear on the outside of it. Did I mess up my suspension pretty bad when I hit the curb? I was going to take it to a mechanic to look at but I wanted to see what I may have done before going there and them giving me some line of BS like I need all new suspension parts or something.

It is possible to whack only one side out of alignment or when you need it alignment, does it effect both sides together? The driver side tire is fine with no irregular wear.

"Irregular tire wear" is not as descriptive as you need to be. Yes one wheel can be misaligned.
