215 40 on 18's is WAY TO BIG. You would RUB LIKE HELL. That size combo is about 1.4" taller in diameter than the stock wheel/tire combo. Would need a a 215 30 on 18" rims
You MIGHT get away with 215 35 on 18" rims but your speedo will be off by quite abit, and your wheel/tire combo will still be .5" taller than the stock setup.
with a drop 215's are gonna rub the inside fenderwell on full lock turns, unless you get something like a 34 or 32 offset. Even then, with that low of an offset, you may need to roll your fenders a tad to keep them from rubbing on the outside.
Your ride quality on 18's with 30 or 35 rubber is going to be pretty harsh...and your acceleration with heavy 18" wheels isn't gonna too good either.

dont mind me i didnt look into the tires much yet i said that size cause they seem to be the standard on 17's so i figured it wouldnt be to far off for 18's anyways how would your roll your fenders? what does the offset mean and do you know if the sharkracing fenders are wider they look it of course but im not sure but if they are then 18's wouldnt be to much of a problem then would they? thanks for all your help.

Yes, if you went with the smallest drop, (eibach 1.2") and then got the right offset wheels, and the proper sized 18" tire, you could get away with 18's. There is at least one member here with 18's, so it is doable.
Yes, the lip on the Z-Shark fenders is farther out, so you would have more wheel room, at least on the front wheels, but if you do hit the Z-Shark Fenders, you risk damaging them as they are Plastic Reinforced fiberglass.
Rolling your fenders is just bending the outside lip or edge of the fender up and out, to allow clearance for the wheel/tire. Any autobody shop can do it for you for about $50 a wheel well, and some people can just do it with a dead blow hammer or baseball bat (Try at your own risk).

I have these wheels in 18x7 with a +40 offset with a 1.75 drop with 215/35/18 tire and they only rub when I turn into a place with a step incline but I learned how to get into places like that without rubbing. BTW I can turn lock to lock without rubbing at all.

You cannot. You just have to do the math in you head to know 75 on your speedo means 45 in real speed or whatever the change is.
use this to figure it out. http://www.c5-corvette.com/tirecalc.htm
Tibachi-
I'd like to see a photos of your wheels at full turn with the 1.75 drop
With 215's, a 40 offset and a 1.75 drop you rub the inside of the fenderwell on flat ground. I'm guessing you have a much lower offest than +40, or you have wheel spacers in.
