here is a pic off my jack...that is well now all bent up....just remember with two wheels off...use jack stands!!! i tried to do things the fast way.... flaming_ suicide beat_dow here are some pics.

Yep those things suck A$$ friend of mine crushed his ankle when his jack stand collapsed. Luckly it wasn't his head. You got lucky. eek!

that happened to my brother too. But he was lowering his truck and when him and his friends got out from under it like a minute later the thing just fell down. would have killed them cause the truck was only about 2 inches off the ground. Thats what he got for not putting the jack stands in the right spot. And thats exactly why i use wheel ramps with a chalk behind the rear wheel or the big 2000LBS floor jacks. i dont trust that thing in the trunk at all. And thats why

yeah i'm glad that i have such good reactions....or else...it would have been on my legs!! that would have sucked!! i have no med insurance being that i just started a new job....my pop was like...you would have had to sue us so we could pay for the bills!! could you imagine....sueing your parents!!

Wow. Glad you're alright. I use a floor jack with stands, whenever I can because I broke the handle on one of those crappy jacks before (that's when I realized how cheap they were).

Quick question:
where do you all put the jack stands? I sometimes put then where the regular jack should go. Other times, I try to get it under the frame.

The shop manual has a diagram, but it doesn't seem to help.

curtis.....right where the normal jack goes....raise it up with the ****ty jack then put the stand under it and lower till it touches...then repeat!!
