Traded In The Tib...

No, those are for the cruise control buttons. Funny thing is, cruise is not even an option on the hatchback, you can only get it on the 4 door model. I guess they just figured it would be easier to make just one steering wheel.
When I bought my car, I thought it had all the options except sunroof. Then I saw those blanking covers on the steering wheel and I was like "wait a minute, WTF?" I had no idea that you couldn't get cruise on the hatchback.

I see. I wonder why they didnt put it on there. Same motor and everything. I dont get why they would leave it out. I thought that to myself also. And I wondered about cruise. It could be adapted to work but its probably not worth it for cost of parts.

No, I don't get it either. It's not like it involves a body harness, it would just be the engine harness and dash harness that would involve cruise control. I can't see any differences in those areas between the sedan and hatchback. I guess the Accent GLS sedan is considered the more, uh, "luxury" model, and hence gets the cruise control. Kind of stupid if you ask me.
I also don't understand why my car has rear drum brakes instead of disc. Hyundai's website doesn't list the SE as having 4 wheel disc brakes, but every other pic I've seen on the net of Accent SEs clearly shows rear disc. However, that's why the Accent doesn't come with ESC as even an option, because the ESC system won't work with drum brakes. Just another weird Hyundai thing I guess.

For about a month we had a 2008 Tiburon SE on the lot. Black pearl, black and red leather interior, 6 speed... I'm not a huge fan of the new Tiburons, but this car was gorgeous. I managed to find an excuse to drive it... twice. LOL. Sticker was 24 something. I couldn't afford it, and my insurance would have gone up too much anyway. Still a pretty car though.
Something else interesting that we are hearing now: The upcoming Genesis Coupe IS going to be replacing the Tiburon. So after next spring the Tiburon will be no more. That doesn't make sense, because even the base model turbo four version will by no means be an entry level sports car. I don't know why Hyundai would leave that gap in their lineup. Perhaps they expect that gap to be filled with Kia's addition of an entry level sports car, I think called the Khee? I can't remember. It's a hot looking car though, that Kia. Just thought you guys would be interested in that little tidbit.
Oh and we're due to get 4 Genesis V6s next month... I'll post pics when they come in. No V8s till the fall.
