I just ordered a plenum and fuel rail blanks from Ross Machine. The rails should be easy for my welder to make. The plenum should bolt right onto the lower plenum and place the TB in the front of the motor.

I got the Magnecor R-100 Race Wires in last night. They were way too big for the stock holders, so I used the cool ziptie method. cool.gif

The timing belt was changed a few hundred miles before the motor was rebuilt.
I took the manifolds off last night to get them ceramic painted. I don't think I'm gonna Jet-Hot them. It costs $225 and I'm not planning on keeping the manifolds very long. So I don't want to invest a lot of money into them. The VHT hot paint works pretty well.

The car is running now, with a pretty big vacuum leak at the injector seal. The stock injectors and their seals are pieces of chit. But instead of trying to throw some kind of sealant around them, I decided to continue on my project that will replace them all-together.
Last night, I made my first fuel rail. It was difficult finding the correct drill bit to use. It's not any size you would assume. wink1.gif
Anyways, here it is with Beta injectors for fitment:
And here is how it sits on the lower plenum. It only sits about 1/8 taller than the deck, which is very good thing. It's actually better than what most other people have done. The upper plenum has a 1/2" deck that will raise it much higher than that rail now sits. So there's clearance for that.
But, as you saw in the other mockup pic, I'm not using the stock upper plenum. The half round plenum from Ross will sit directly on top of the lower plenum. There's a phenolic spacer that's 3/8" thick, that I will use. That will help me raise the plenum up and over the fuel rail, with 1/4" to spare.
I can't believe how perfect this is coming out with the measurments.
I almost forgot. I finally purchased the intercooler I will be using. It's a Treadstone 26x12x6, good for over 1000hp of airflow. It has 3" in/outlets, and I'll be using 3" piping throughout.
I also got the FAL fans mounted with the thermostat controller. I also did an alternator upgrade to handle the 20amps that the fans draw. The stock is 70amp, while the Maximas use 90amps. So I purchased that and modified the bracket by grinding it down a bit along one edge. The Maxima alternator is bigger in size and needs more room.
