ehh, depends man. I am at a higher altitude, so technically, higher octane rating should produce a null advantage. If I were at sea level, it may have more of an impact. But, since this car has 120k, its an engine I am unfamiliar with, and I am less familiar with how knock sensitive this car is, a tankful of mid grade will tell me if its worth it or not. If the car is knock sensitive with its age, mileage, design, past abuse, a better octane rating may yield 1,2, maybe 3 more miles per gallon. In which case, say 2 more miles per gallon equals about 20 more miles per fill up, and at 3.50 a gallon, I suppose I may save only a few cents, but it would be worth it if the car runs better on it. If I see no gains, than the engine should be in great shape for its age and I'll just use the lower octane fuel. I mean really, with a 10 gallon tank, its only 1.00 more to fill up with mid grade. cool.gif

I love it! I see people driving rattly rustbucket death trap crx's around. i love those cars for the reason that they never dies out, but this is just as cheap and a luxury compared to those cars.
this is the best thing you can do. swifttiburon also took the same path. just keep out of everyone's way though.

LOL! I damn near bought a CRX before I bought the Accent. I am so happy with the Accent! Its definitely the "diamond in the rough" if you are looking for an econo box thats safe and has more luxuries than a civic hatchback. I ride the right lane crusing the accent, and always the left lane in the Tib. fing02.gif
