^^ What? A car company makes a minivan, but slaps a hinge on it instead of a track, then it becomes a sport vehicle?
They make a station wagon, but a bit taller and it's a sport vehicle?
What do you call that? i wouldn't take it off roading because they roll over.

Don't be jealous DTN.
The Murano is actually built on the Altima platform. Not hardly a minivan. It also has 265hp. Oh, did I mention it performed BEST in the rollover tests? Much better than the Hummer, and any of the other SUVs tested.
One priority was buying a vehicle with a unibody, rather than a truck frame (full-size SUV). This vehicle was purchased primarily for my wife. Many of you are aware of her abundance of health issues, the half dozen fractured discs in her back, neck problems from the most recent accident, etc. A unibody provides a much better, smoother ride and better gas mileage (a big factor with 70 mile roundtrip commutes to work).
So our requirements were: No truck frame, decent fuel economy, something not too low (Mustang) or not too tall (Expedition) because it places stress on my wife's back and neck trying to get in/out of these vehicles. We needed something where she could easily slide in with no problem.
It's very luxurious, elegant, and has high quality interior. Double stitched leather, rear view monitor (backup camera) helps to save my wife's neck when backing up, 9 speaker audio system (with two 10's), bluetooth phone system, dual moonroof, 18" wheels with plenty of rubber for comfort, HID adjustable aiming Headlights, 265hp V6... if it's a minivan, it's one hell of a minivan.
16.2 @ 88.7 in the 1/4... isn't that about the same as the Tibby?
----edit----
It's also pretty quiet...
Db @ Idle - 41.2
Db @ Full Throttle - 74.8
Db @ 70mph Cruise - 66.9
And what do you mean about rollover? According to NHTSA...
Murano - 17-18% chance of rollover
H2 / H3 - 24% chance of rollover
Expedition - 21%
Nissan Titan - 19-21%
Ford F-150 - 17-19%
Dodge Ram 1500 - 17-19%
News Article: "Murano Rated Safest Midsize SUV
"It was the only SUV in the group recently tested to earn good ratings in all three IIHS tests, and it's one of two SUVS tested to earn a good rating for protection against whiplash injury in rear-end crashes. The Jeep Liberty, Jeep Wrangler four-door, and Kia Sorento -- all 2008 models -- are the worst performers in the side test. The Liberty, also sold as the Dodge Nitro, and Wrangler earn the second lowest rating of marginal for protection in side crashes. The Sorento earns the lowest rating of poor."
